Refund and cancellation policy

Scope

This policy applies to deposits and fees for statutory audits, internal control reviews, agreed-upon procedures, and year-end close readiness engagements with Minato Audit & Co. It does not cover goods retail, software subscriptions, or services we do not offer.

Eligibility and timeframe

Refund requests should be sent in writing to hello@netopsedge.digital within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request, or as otherwise stated in your engagement letter.

Full refund

A full refund of amounts paid is available if we cancel an engagement before fieldwork begins for reasons on our side (for example an independence conflict discovered after acceptance), or if you cancel in writing more than fourteen days before the scheduled kickoff and no preparatory work has been delivered.

Partial refund

If you cancel fewer than fourteen days before kickoff, or after planning or interim work has started, we may retain a portion of the deposit reflecting time already spent on planning, document review, or confirmation setup. The remainder, if any, is refunded.

Non-refundable items

Fees for work already performed and delivered (including issued findings letters, completed readiness checklists, or signed reports) are non-refundable. Third-party confirmation fees already paid on your behalf are non-refundable.

Deposits

Booking deposits secure calendar time for fieldwork. Deposits are applied to the final invoice. Unused deposit balances after a qualifying cancellation are handled under the full or partial rules above.

Rescheduling and no-shows

You may request one reschedule of fieldwork dates without penalty if notice is given at least seven days in advance and alternative dates are mutually available. Shorter notice or repeated reschedules may incur a scheduling fee. If client personnel required for inventory observation or walkthroughs are unavailable without notice (a no-show), that day may be billed and a new date quoted.

Work already started

Once interim testing, observations, or substantive procedures have begun, fees for completed stages remain payable. Cancellation mid-engagement does not unwind completed stages.

Purchased materials

We do not sell physical product kits. Any out-of-pocket materials purchased specifically for your engagement (for example couriered confirmation packages) are billed at cost and are non-refundable once purchased.

Refund process and method

Approved refunds are processed within fourteen business days to the original payment method where possible, or by bank transfer to an account you nominate in writing. Processing time at your bank may add further days.

Exceptions

Mandatory cooling-off or other rights under Japanese law, where applicable, are not limited by this policy. Engagement letters may set stricter notice periods for large multi-entity audits; those written terms prevail for that engagement.
